Democratic strategist and former Obama advisor, David Axelrod, has some solid advice for Joe Biden, “ Trump is likely to cast him (Biden) as a trojan horse the Democrats will use to promote socialism, lawlessness and cultural expropriation….the outcome in November may be decided by the final disposition of few, mostly White voters who are up for grabs in a handful of swing states.”

Most Americans will remember that by 9:40 pm est Trump was projected to win the Electoral college and the Presidency. ( as of 9:40 p.m. ET the New York Times reported “Donald Trump has a 55% chance of becoming presidenthttp://nyti.ms/2fYClAq ).Even though Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by 2.8 million votes she lost the election because she lost the Electoral College by 74 votes but, more importantly, trump had won the 270 votes needed to win the Electoral College long before the polls in many west coast states, where Clinton focused most of her campaign, closed. This is what the State by State map of wins looked like after voting ended in all States.

In 2016, Wisconsin was the tipping-point state (Trump by 0.8%). Had Clinton won Michigan (Trump by 0.2%) and Pennsylvania (Trump by 0.7%), she still would have lost the Electoral College by 270–268. The discrepancy between the popular vote and tipping-point state was thus 2.9% in favor of Trump, the biggest it has been since 1948.
