Excellent analysis of what a “conventional” war with Iran may look like but it’s unlikely to ever happen. A war between the U.S. and Iran will see Iran fight an asymmetric war, fought more on U.S. soil than Iranian. Iran will deploy clandestine forces focused on the destruction of multiple electric lines, roads and water supply systems in highly populated areas of the U.S. It could have devastating effects on the U.S. economy and morale of U.S. population, while U.S. forces go marching through the Iranian desert. Iran’s clerics will give up territory to allow them to terrorize the U.S. population on U.S. soil for eternity. War with Iran will be fought more in Toledo than Terhan.
