Is Earth becoming Tatooine?

We live directly on Florida’s A1A highway. It’s as far east on the Atlantic coast as you can go in the southern United States.

The view in the upper left in this collage is this morning’s sun rise. It was quite different from the view we usually see in the morning which is next to it in the upper right.

As I looked out the window this morning all I could think of was the Star Wars planet, Tatooine, the dust bowl planet on which Luke Skywalker lived with his aunt and uncle before he joined the Rebel Alliance to fight against the evil Empire.

While much of the Saraha dust cloud is impacting Florida’s gulf coast, I have to believe we on the Atlantic coast are seeing some of the affect. While I’m no environmental expert I suspect we’re beginning to see some stunning change as a result of global warming.

Hoping for the cloud to continue it’s trek westward and our clear blue skys to return.
