Ivanka May want to read Shakespeare’s “King Lear”
In Elizabethan times, the role of a fool, or court jester, was to professionally entertain others, specifically the king. In essence, fools were hired to make mistakes.
This is “King Lear and The Fool in the Storm” by William Dyce. When Cordelia, Lear’s only well-intentioned daughter, is banished from the kingdom his Fool immediately assumes her role as Lear’s protector.
But Edmund, the illegitimate son of the Earl of Gloucester, and the younger brother of Edgar, the Earl’s legitimate son, sends Lear and Cordelia to prison and secretly commissions their assassination.
This is “Lear and Cordelia in Prison”, awaiting their fate, by William Blake.
In trump’s final days Ivanka may want to look out for Ted Cruz, her Edmund, and Mitch McConnell her father’s fool. Both will be looking for every opportunity to remove her and her father from any small bit of political influence.
