Representative governments don’t hold plebicites. If they do they’re no longer “representative” government. They’re democracies! When Great Britain held the BREXIT plebiscite/vote they became a democracy and all authority granted to representatives/members of Parliament ceased, at least on the issue of BREXIT. You can’t have it both ways! If members of Parliament now realize the result of the BREXIT plebiscite will result in so many harmful consequences, a majority of Parliament will not vote for a plan to execute BREXIT, then it seems like the only “representative” thing to do is ask the British public for a “redo”, otherwise just get on with it and spare your citizens and the rest of us Parliament’s buyer’s remorse.
