The intention of God’s question is obvious. Job was nowhere to be found when God laid the foundations of the earth. God was ancient in His power, wisdom, and might and a mere man, like Job, could never be considered to be on the same level as God. Much like the attitude politicians have regarding mere citizens.

Many will consider it blasphemous of me to say this but science, especially evolutionary biology, now allows us to have the conversation with God Job was not allowed to have 4,000 years ago and politicians don’t want us to have today.

At the risk of committing blasphemy it’s very important we have this conversation with God because estimates are that almost a quarter of a billion ( 195,035,000 ) human beings have been killed in the name of God or at least religions. We should not allow politicians to get more human beings killed because they tell us we’re not allowed to ask questions of God related to topics on which our ancestor, Job, was uninformed 4,000 years ago.
