“Society was once headed” toward animal sacrafice to change the weather! That didn’t work-out so well so society changed, which is what will happen with social media as well. Society, i.e. groups of thinking human beings, will realize social media is not the “deal” they thought and they will change it! “Headings” change, sometimes peacefully, sometimes violently but they change none the less.
