The biggest isue with “white collar work” is distraction. It occurs at home as well as in the office. The most important aspect of white collar work is collaboration, the whole “no man is an island” thing. Individual white collar workers need to be “the balancer” between collaboration and distraction. Many times what appears to be distraction can be collaboration. The balancer role is required both at home and in the office. One man’s/women’s collaboration is another man’s/women’s distraction.
