The sadness of war is unending.

This is the picture of a wife leaving her husband behind in Ukraine to fight Russians invading their country while she is transported to a semi safe location away from immediate fighting. The sadness and fear on her face is palpable.

Many times we get trapped into counts of dead and physically wounded to measure the horror of war but separation of loved ones can often be equally horrific and cruel.
