The U.S. Congress is guilty of “adolescent genocide”!
This collage of Sean Yoro’s painting on Canada’s Bay of Fundy should be hung in the office of every member of the U.S. Congress, not to mention in the board room of every Fortune 500 company in America!
Mr. Yoro, a Hawaiian artist, likes to paint his evocative murals on precarious surfaces; melting icebergs, the burnt bark of trees and remote waterside walls at the mercy of rising tides, among others. The transient nature of his works, which are destined to naturally disappear shortly after their creation, is used to bring attention to problems afflicting the environment.
“The Environment”, however, is a concept that has little meaning for most, especially narcissistic politicians, who find no gain discussing it. All concerned parents need to say “we don’t have ‘problems afflicting the environment’. We have problems about to murder our children and the U.S. Congress is complicit in the crime”.
The inattention and ignorance of the U.S. Congress and U.S. business to the threats of climate change to our children is nothing less than “adolescent genocide” for which every Congress person should be tried, convicted and punished.
