All suffer from the “social entropy” caused by Donald Trump!

Entropy is a measure of a system’s disorder and chaos. For example, the entropy of ice increases when it melts and bonds among frozen water molecules break-down.

Entropy also occurs in social systems. Social norms and customs come about when order is applied to our behavior and protects us from the bad behavior of others. There are not enough police officers in the world to protect us from all evil doers. Over time and through natural human interactions, customs and ways of behaving have developed that protect us on a daily basis before any police can arrive.

However, normal behaviors and customs that usually protect us from evil can break-down as a result of individuals imitating the bad behavior of others perceived to be leaders. Because of the innate insecurity of human beings we’re very impressionable and always looking to others for ways to behave.

In Julia Shaw’s “Making Evil”, she investigates “What makes ‘good’ people follow ‘evil’ orders…?” and writes:

Following orders is the default human tendency, so if there’s someone in authority, …then you are likely to follow their orders…we are generally trusting of our fellow humans and if we’ve placed them in a position of responsibility — a political office, for example — then we trust the decisions they are making are not going to break social norms or moral values.” Dr. Shaw’s explanation makes Donald Trump’s use of the Internet and Twitter that much more ominous.

“It’s possible that the internet makes it more likely for people to find each other and to realize they have the same horrible views. There’s no need to meet someone in person for social influence to take place and for real harm to happen in the real world.”

Behavior is not innate. It’s learned and imitated. We’ve all heard that “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” and there are always individuals flattering others hoping to garner their favor and gratitude. The individuals, pictured above, have all attracted the attention of millions of people. Sadly, behavior like theirs and it’s imitation seems to be on the rise since Donald Trump entered politics.

Weather it’s a Trump political rally or his infamous bus ride with Billy Bush, bragging how it is OK to sexually assault women, Trump’s behavior has only lead to disorder and chaos in our society. We should all demand that it stop. Once Entropy starts it doesn’t stop until heat death which for our society means the death of the natural order and protections on which we all rely to live normal, terror-free lives.
