While I understand and agree with both Mike’s legal argument and his expectation for the behavior of the U.S. military, I’m not so sure of the behavior of trump allies in Congress. The only constraint on their behavior is their reading of political tea leaves and if they believe trump can politically get away with sending troops to the boarder they’ll fall in line like Nazi Brown shirts Sieg Heil de Fuhrer.
