While many might understand the point you try to make saying “trump is not hitler” in terms of not being antiSemitic, he’s little different in terms of the hate and division he engenders among people with different backgrounds. In this regard he’s no different than any demagogue whose strength is created by the weakness he forments in others, always to appear as their savior. To appear strong trump must make others appear weak. Real leaders make all feel stronger and better than they might otherwise feel. You need only think of Franklin Roosevelt’s fireside chats to Americans struggling through the great depression or Winston Churchill speaking to citizens of London as Hitler’s rockets rained-down on them.
